Josh Brandão & Nicolai Kornum established BlitzWerk Studio in 2011 in London UK as an innovative production house producing multi award-winning fashion films, internationally published fashion shoots, promos and music videos. Josh and Nicolai’s intense process constantly explores the lines between all aspects of the creative process, including development and production, writing and direction, design and post production. Their artistic hands-on approach adds a constant transgressive challenge of the visual media resulting in their unique editorial-style fashion films and music videos for which they are internationally recognised. Their constant innovative work has been enjoyed by over 15 million online viewers, and has resulted in 24 awards, including “Best Director”, “Best Cinematographer” & “Best Film” awards.

Named by Forbes Magazine: “The Film Director Behind Fashion’s Viral Videos”, Luca Finotti is an Italian creative and film director who has directed fashion films for Nike, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Moschino, Jeremy Scott, Adidas, River Island, Tod’s, Covergirl, Rimmel​, London Look, MSGM and Pitti to name a few.

He also collaborated with international magazines including Vogue Italia, Vogue China, Vogue Russia, Dazed & Confused, i-D Magazine and Hercules Magazine. ​Graduating in Marketing and Economy ​from​ the renowned Luigi Bocconi University in Milan and studying cinema at the New​ York Film Academy gave Luca all the skills to be a successful artistic and viral film director by combining powerful moving images and the development of Social Media.

Founder of the Bokeh South African International Fashion Film Festival, Adrian Lazarus is a Cape Town local who has travelled the world pursuing his love of Fashion Films!
Originally a producer, Adrian moved into the directing arena 12 years ago. After his fashion film, Steam 1886, won awards at both the La Jolla and Miami Fashion Film Festivals, he decided to create an international event to put Cape Town and South Africa on the fashion film festival circuit.
Adrian’s love of entertaining and his wonderful creativity, along with terrific partners Mercedes-Benz, have allowed him to create a truly entertaining event of a global standard.

Bio

Aleks Dimitrijevic was born in Belgrade, Serbia and studied Film and Entertainment Management at universities in the UK, the U.S. and Australia. After working in advertising and content for 12 years for some of the biggest global brands (L’Oréal, Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola), Aleks joined The Smalls Film Festival in 2016, where she has put together 3 editions of their short film festival in London and Singapore. She has also led the launch of The Smalls Film Fund, a £25k grant for filmmakers to create groundbreaking short films.

Bio

Senior lecturer @LCFLondon and course leader @mafashionmedia, Apple Distinguished Educator, informed agitator, husband and dad. Not always in that order…
As an independent filmmaker Andy has produced, directed and edited films for brands including Barclays, Dune, Proctor & Gamble, Oasis, Tateossian, Goldwell and with institutions including The Barbican Centre and The Royal Ballet. The Stage described his work as ‘stunning visual imagery’ and it’s been TV Pick of the Week in The London Evening Standard and Time Out.
He oversees film production and helps enable innovative and reflective creative practice in the Postgraduate Courses, championing fashion film-making not only as an industry-led output but an invaluable communication skill across enterprise and the arts. Graduating work has been shown at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, BornShorts and the British Film Institute and LCF sponsors a fashion film strand at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
Andy recently spoke on the panel at ‘Transgression and Convention in the Fashion Film’ at the Institute of Contemporary Art as part of the London Short Film Festival, chaired a discussion at the ‘New Medium, Diverse Messages’ fashion film conference and presented ‘Shooting from the Hip: Fashion Film Practice & Mobile Technologies’ at Texas State University.
He was a jury member for CANIFFF 2017, and the 2015 Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Festival, where he also be presented an Introduction to Fashion Film.
As the Graduate School Learning & Teaching Coordinator Andy leads on various initiatives to encourage innovative academic practice around the use of mobile technologies – enjoying research and informed agitation at the intersection of personal technology and creative practice. He has spoken at the BFI Media Conference​ on iPad & film education and recently presented ‘Wearing it on Our Sleeve: Learning, Teaching & The Internet of Things’ at the Designs on E-Learning conference as a starting point for research around wearable technology, fashion communication and pedagogic practice.

Branco Popovic

Bio

Branko is one of the co-founders and artistic co-directors at FASHIONCLASH, a cultural organization that creates international and interdisciplinary projects with aim to provide a platform for new generation designers and artists. One of their successful projects is the annual international ‘FASHIONCLASH Festival’ in Maastricht and most recently the FASHIONCLASH Fashion Film Festival and the Forza Fashion House talent development incubator. Since 2006, more than 1000 designers and artists from all over the world have been presented through more than 200 FASHIONCLASH projects and events.

Caitlin Agnew is a contributing editor at The Globe and Mail and a regular contributor to FASHION Magazine. Her work has been published in Flare, Elle Canada, The Toronto Star, The Kit, S/Style, Toronto Life, Chatelaine, Reader’s Digest Canada, Best Health Magazine, Glow, Cosmetics and re:porter. Prior to freelancing, Caitlin spent four years at FASHION Magazine where she first joined as an intern in 2011. Caitlin is a judge at the Canadian Beauty Awards and a member of the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards nominating committee. Caitlin has a Master of Arts in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the University of Toronto, where she also completed her Hons. BA in European Studies, German and History at Trinity College. When she’s not working on stories about Canada’s fashion industry trends or the latest skincare innovations, she loves to travel, either in real life or via books and movies.

Bio

Niccolò Montanari is a video curator and publicist. He built his experience in fashion film as one of the founding members of Berlin Fashion Film Festival, then continued by setting up the London-based event The Commissioners. Niccolò has contributed to several platforms and events on the topic of fashion film, including Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Voted, The Smalls, shots.net, 1.4 and Vogue Italia. Currently, he supports film directors in the distribution of video content across media and festivals.

Bio

Raquel Couceiro is Head of Fashion Film at SHOWstudio. Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, Couceiro creates and edits films, working alongside the likes of Nick Knight and Rei Nadal. Couceiro’s work focuses on exploring a breadth of film techniques and combining various fields of multimedia and art in the hope of breaking traditional boundaries and create strong visual languages. Couceiro has previously worked in the broadcast industry in Havana and Lisbon before moving to London in 2012.

Bio

Sara Maino is the deputy editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia and head of Vogue Talents. She oversees the annual publication of the talent edition and edits the online section on Vogue.it.
A regular attendee at global talent spotting shows such as the Fashion Scout showcase in London, Maino is internationally recognised for her fashion scouting abilities and has served as a judge in several fashion competitions including the 2012 International Talent Support competition in Trieste, North East Italy and the Designer’s Nest Show & Awards in Copenhagen. In July 2013 Maino served on the panel of jurors at the Berlin Fashion Film Awards and in October 2013 will serve on the exclusive panel for the annual Scottish Fashion Awards in London.
Through her role as senior talent editor at Vogue Italia, Maino has overseen a number of new initiatives such as the 2013 Vogue Talents Corner at Milan Fashion Week, and has recently collaborated with talent scout websites Wowcracy and Muuse in launching new talent competitions for up and coming designers.
Maino’s first experience in fashion began in the early 90’s while working at the newly opened Corso Como 10 boutique in Paris before joining Vogue Italia as an intern in 1994. An established stylist, Maino has collaborated with Gianfranco Ferre on the label’s Autumn/Winter 2010 lookbook, contributed to the Men in Italy exhibition in Milan, and on a fashion film for Roberto Cavalli by H&M with photographer Johan Renck.
This is Sara’s 3rd year on the CANIFFF Jury.

Tuna Yilmaz

Bio

Born in 1978, Tuna Yilmaz is the founder and director of Fashion Film Fest Istanbul. After studying business at the university, he later had a masters degree on design studies. He has worked as the director of several film festivals in Turkey, Hong and Beirut; curated video programs for the Istanbul Design Biennial and Istanbul Museum of Modern Art. He also worked as the director some art fairs and art galleries in Istanbul. Yilmaz also is a published writer and an award winning filmmaker. After some of his projects on culture and design, He has been awarded as a cultural leader by the British Council and had the honor to bear the olympic torch before London 2012 games in UK. He has won cultural grants twice from the European Cultural Foundation. Yilmaz has been working with several Turkish designers and brands for their international projects and brand management. Alongside the annual fashion film festival, he is also the managing partner of a fashion production & model management company.

ZELJKO IVANKOVIC

Zeljko Ivankovic

Bio

A 25 year fashion insider, a 15 year special events producer, an eight year booking specialist, and a six year event coordinator and many more. Founder of SFFF is a 25 year entertainment industry veteran who launched his career in London, England as the fashion photographer. Ivankovic’s experience covers the spectrum of the live performance entertainment industry spanning a variety of venues, genres and capacities — from stage manager, production manager, tour manager and artist management, producer, venue manager, promoter, talent buyer and consultant. Mr. Ivankovic quickly demonstrated an instinct for the entertainment business, rapidly moving up the ranks. All told, Ivankovic has worked on more than 100 european events.

CANIFFF is the pinnacle platform for fashion film in Canada and Internationally.
