Kenneth Wong

Born and raised in Winnipeg, and having completed degrees from University of Manitoba in Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Law, Ken left his hometown in 1999 for Ottawa to join the Canadian Foreign Service. He has had overseas postings in Johannesburg, Los Angeles and Beijing as a Trade Commissioner, promoting trade and investment in diverse areas including education, tourism, engineering services, and the cultural industries. Of note — he led a successful investment program that saw Pixar, Sony Imageworks, Rhythm and Hues and others open studios in Canada. Today, he is at the Consulate General of Canada in Bengaluru, India leading the commercial program.
