Ajai is popularly known as the person who revived the fashion design industry of Sri Lanka in the last 17 years. He fathered Sri Lanka’s fashion development movement and as a result close to 80% of fashion designers we see today are the product of the fashion development platform Ajai created. CFW is the backbone of Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry and its voice.

Founder and President of Colombo Fashion Week, his deep-rooted faith in Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry got him started on this journey 17 years ago (2003). Colombo Fashion Week is one of Asia’s four fashion weeks that are over 10 years old, a development project that is actively working on impacting and enhancing every aspect of Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry.
